Hello and welcome to our von Turner website!

We are Randy and Bev Turner owners of
four wonderful Small
Munsterlanders –
Brook, Amos, Cara and Dreamer.

We purchased our first Small Munsterlander, Sebrings Brook in 1995 and
have enjoyed hunting, breeding and just loving them ever since.  On our
website we will give you information on the Small Munsterlander breed
and our personal hunting dogs.

The
Small Munsterlander (SM) is a German versatile hunting dog bred to
search, point, track and retrieve game - upland birds, waterfowl, and fur-
bearing animals. The SM is a one of the youngest versatile hunting
breeds to gain popularity in the United States but they have been
popular in Germany and Europe since the 13th or 14th century.
We are very excited about our von
Turner D litter from Gunwoods
Carolina v Kain and Cody vom
Apfelbaumbach born March 20, 2007.

We are members of the
Small
Munsterlander Club of North America
(SMCNA), abide by the SMCNA
By-Laws, the SMCNA Breed Council
Registry Manual (BCRM) and the
FCI
Standard. We hunt test our SM in the
North American Versatile Hunting Dog
Association (NAVHDA). Our litters are
registered with both the SMCNA and
NAVHDA.
Again we welcome you to our website, we hope you will enjoy the pictures
and information we have presented to you, and please email or call us if you
have any questions about the Small Munsterlander.

NOTE: The AKC has recently recognized the Small Munsterlander Pointer as an AKC FSS breed.  Puppies
from the AKC have come from parents who may have not met minimum requirements for breeding.  Be sure to
read information on the SMCNA website, my questions to ask breeders, and the
SMCNA or AKC information
page.
